Recently I read an article about Saudi Arabia on Time it shows the perspective of new rulers of the kingdom. The article discusses the ambitious Diriyah Gate project in Saudi Arabia, led by Diriyah Company’s GCEO, Jerry Inzerillo. The project aims to transform the historic city of Diriyah into a global cultural and tourism destination. Diriyah, the capital of the First Saudi State and a UNESCO World Heritage site, is being revitalized with a focus on preserving its historical integrity while integrating modern sustainable technology.
The development includes plans for nine museums, over 40 global hotel brands, a university, 31 mosques, and 30,000 residences, creating a walkable city that celebrates 300 years of Saudi history. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy and boost tourism. Inzerillo highlights the significance of Diriyah as a symbol of Saudi heritage and identity, positioning it as a key cultural hub in the Kingdom’s future. The project is part of broader efforts to prepare Saudi Arabia for major upcoming global events, reinforcing its status as a premier lifestyle destination.
